I live in the most beautiful state in the US, “Oregon” one of the reasons I love it is the temps are never really bad. Winter maybe a few days in the low 20 or upper teens. The summer just a few days at 100 or so, but this week we have broke all records. It was 108 yesterday the record was 105 in the early 90’s. Now I know there are those of you out there who live in that heat all summer long King Tom for one and my Sister in Bullhead City where it hits 124. BUT were just not use to it. My poor old cat is hiding in the darkest spot he can fine and the new puppy has spent most of his time in the bath room lying between the pot and tub. I have given them both ice cubes to play with and keep there water fresh and cool but it sure is hard on them. I live on the 3ed floor and no air condition. Keep the big floor fans going to move the air.. ahhhhhhhhhhh yes nothing as refreshing as hot air moving..lolol

Next Sat the puppy will get his first hair cut to bad it wasn’t this weekend.

My kids got a nice boat last weekend and are out on the river this weekend with it.  I am not too worried there are a lot of people on the river and lots of others boaters. I love boating or any thing to do with water.

Our Director at work has transferred to AZ so yesterday was his last day. I am sure he is a nice man but not a good leader. They had a party at one of the Pizza places but I did not go. I do not like the man so did not feel it was right to go and act like I was going to miss him. To me it’s the same as going to a funeral of someone you can’t stand and crying. If you didn’t like him in life why would you go to his funeral?

Had a fire drill at work Friday. Now we are on the 4^th floor of an 11 story building. And that is a lot of people in the stare well. While walking down and hearing the echo of people voices and foot steeps I could not help but think of the horror in the Towers on 9/11 when the stares will fill with crying, people in pain and full of fear, yelling, confusion and dark smoke. I found my self feeling such sadness.

My brother turned 66 this month and my sister 64, Boy they sure are getting older. Humm wonder why I am not..:)

Have a friend who meets a gent for lunch that she meets over the internet. While at lunch he told her he though she was “Wholesome”. She took offence to it and came back to work hot. I started laughing and ask her if she had any idea what the true meaning was and looked it up for her and told her it was a compliment now days, better than being called W---- or worse. Any way last week when we golfed she got mad and said the “F” word. Now I have never heard Judy use that word at any time and we have been friends a long time. I about fell over laughing and when I got my self under control I told her “Well lady you just lost the “W” from “Wholesome” so now your just “holesome” and if you keep that up you will lose more letters and think how some of those words would sound.. ok, ok you had to be there to see the humor in all this.

It was a busy week. I have been on vacation since 5pm Friday the 30^th. Started it off with shopping and golfing then a friend and I drove to Troutdale Oregon to go to the Columbia River Outlet Mall, haven’t been there in about 8 years and there is a great little store that carries suites and nice stuff for work for the fluffy women. LOL. Then took her to a town called Boring, I use to live there and wanted to show her my old place then off to Gresham for Mexican lunch at one the best places on that side of the river.  Wed same friend and I drove to Spirit Mountain Casino in Grand Rond Oregon.  Did not’t win any thing but had fun again a place I had not been to in about 6 years. Lost about 80$. I would say 85% of the people there are over 65 and most over 70, wheel chairs, scooters, canes, some I think were holding up each other… GOD is that what I have to look forward to when I retire.. hummm come to think of it, it is air condition, great food and cheap and is fun. Maybe they have the right idea. Friday went to a movie wanted to see Pirates of the Caribbean movie at 3:50 it was sold out along with the next 2 showings and the only time they still had tickets for was 10:15PM. No thank you, so we saw The Devil Wears Prada. That was a cute movie. It has been abut 8 or more years since I had been to a move. $8.50 a ticket good thing I had two passes to any movie I wanted to see or it would be an other 8 years before I go..lol  Sat I took the puppy to the Vet for his second round of shots and took him to see the family who gave him to me. On the 29^th he gets his first grooming that should be interesting.

It’s back to work tomorrow but as you can see and easy vacation nothing exciting and did a few things I had not’t done in a while. Oh and every other day I went over the feed and clean out the litter box and water the garden for my daughter who is on a 10 day camping trip.

Got gas today as I heard the price is going to jump again. So topped it off, but it really doesn’t make any difference I will have to fill up again and I am sure it will be higher by then.

While cleaning out a junk drawer in my kitchen today, I dropped the dame think across 3 of my toes. I just knew they were either broken or when I moved my foot they were going to say right were they were. Will good news they moved with my foot and I really don’t think they are broken but they are sure red and getting stiff.. If I have a limp tomorrow when I go back to work I think I will tell them I broke 3 toes on vacation and the CIA wont let me talk about it..lol.
