August 27 HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!Friday I turned "60", and my daughter gave me a great BBQ Saturday of family, old friends and new friends. It was beautiful weather sunny and only in the 70's. with great food and drink.
It was great fun to see friends I had not seen in years. To laugh over the dumb stuff we use to do and wonder how we made it this far.
When I got home I sat down and read the book we had for each guest to sign and write something in. I then added my own writings.
As I look back I wonder how I got to 60 so fast? When getting to 13, that first teen year seem so far away, but then between 13 and 16 was even longer god forbid how long it took to get to 21, and I swear that was just yesterday. I have alway been a person who age never matter to, never hasted to say my age and seldom used it to get out of something. I have so much in my life, great parents, a brother and sister who loved me even though I was the youngest and got them into a lot of trouble. My daughter, son in-law who is very good to me and grandsons who you all have had to read about on many of my blogs. I always had a good job and now my new home. Friends that go back to 5th grade and news ones. And most important good health.
But that still doesn't answer the questions how come the years between 21 and 60 went so much faster than the years between 13 and 16?? :). You know how you get asked if you could go back in age what year you would chose? I don't think I would go back. I am happy right where I am.
Beside 60 looks a lot better now that I am here than it did when I was 21.
